JOIN US AS AN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST- FUNDS TRANSFER Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an ENTRY LEVEL OPS SPECIALIST to join our FUNDS TRANSFER- PAYMENT PROCESSING TEAM. In this role you will focus on daily deliverables and execution of defined procedures while gaining an understanding of the big picture and your work impacts the firm. You will have the opportunity to work closely with more senior team members to ensure accuracy on all work. SOME OF YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Processing of manually initiated wire transfer instructions as well as repairing electronic instructions that do not move straight through process. These wire transfer may be in USD or a foreign currencies. You will learn industry wide payment formatting conventions (SWIFT) as well as BBH s own processing systems and requirements. You will also learn how to interpret instructions in order to differentiate between the various types of money movement. TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU LL NEED TO: * Use Keystone to process instructions received. Since all transactions require duality, you will either be the person entering the item or verifying the item in Keystone. * You will continuously go in to repair queues within Keystone to fix items which did not STP and enable them to be processed by the system. * You will be required to interpret instructions as they are received in various formats in order to be able to process them in Keystone. * As a specialist, you will need to be able to identify between payments, book transfers, expects and amendments. * You will need to be able to accurately pull information from the fax. These faxes range from straight forward with little interpretation needed to complex where knowledge of other departments or industry practices may be needed. * Sanction Screening- you will review transactions and determine if the item should be referred to Compliance or if it is a false hit within regulatory requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS DEGREE AND RELATED INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE Ability to communicate professionally with others An aptitude for analytical thinking Self-Starter, proactive, and objective oriented Research, analysis and problem resolution skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure ABOUT THE TEAM: We are a team that values working together to achieve common goals.
