Elliott Group Senior EHS Manager, Repair Operations (Americas) in Jeannette, Pennsylvania
The preferred location is Jeannette, PA. At management discretion, the position could possibly be situated in Houston, TX.
This Senior EHS Manager is responsible for EHS for the Global Service (GS) business unit Repair operations in the Americas. Implements the EHS strategic plan and supports the Global Service Repair leadership with EHS matters. Directs and leads EHS regulatory compliance programs and initiatives. Establishes internal process controls for the Americas and aligns with the Field and Global EHS functions. Manages the strategic interface with external regulatory agencies and internal and external legal counsel. Analyzes historical EHS compliance and performance data to determine opportunities for improvement and to support executive leadership in decision making.
Travel is estimated up to 25%, including the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
Develop and lead implementation of EHS systems for American Repair operations collaborating deployment with other EHS Managers in GS Repair in EMA and AP.
Identify, establish, and maintain internal processes for EHS such as procedures, work instructions, EHS directives, and guidelines.
Identify, establish, and maintain the corporate system for identification and mitigation of process EHS risk from an enterprise and process specific perspective.
Manage the system for standardized EHS metrics to be used to establish long term and short term goals for American Repair operations.
Manage legacy information and controls critical EHS data including third party audit reports, risk assessment reports, key health and safety documents, and environmental permits.
Manage the strategic interface with external regulatory agencies and external EHS legal counsel for Repair compliance matters.
Manage the incident investigation process to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities for incident prevention.
Provide leadership and technical guidance for EHS Coordinators at the Repair locations to develop EHS talent and competency.
Reduce EHS risks, liability and associated financial costs pertaining to compliance for the Repair operations.
Serve as the EHS expert for Repair operations in the Americas and remain actively engaged with continuing education relevant to this position in order to maintain EHS certifications and to ensure regulatory knowledge on changes that may affect EHS compliance.
Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and/or Health and Safety Science or related field plus a minimum of 5-10 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal and written skills are essential, as this position must interact with all levels of the organization.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases and Internet-based systems).
