The Director of Sales Operations is a key role to support the sales organization and support the overall growth of NEC Display Solutions of America ("NDSA"), and create an organization with a customer focus that is efficient and easy to do business with. This position is responsible for the Customer Care function, Sales Analysis, Claims Administration, Sales Operations Manager, and the Bid Desk. Key performance indicators and metrics should be developed to monitor and ensure operational excellence within the scope of responsibility.

Essential Duties (75% or more of time):

Oversee the Customer Care function and ensure efficient processing of customer orders, product returns, and warranty claims. Ensure quick response times to customer questions such as product availability, order status, billing information, and ship dates etc.

Manage the Bid Desk and the processing and approval of all special pricing requests. Continuously reduce the time required to respond to customer pricing requests and ensure complete and accurate information required by management for pricing decisions. Track and monitor discounting activity and the impact on sales and gross margins.

Responsible for guiding all activities of sales analysis including sales compensation plans and reporting, administration of the Sales Force system, tracking sales pipeline and providing data for sales forecasts, calculation, tracking & reporting of VIR/GIR programs, and reporting & analysis support for sales management.

Oversee data management activities including loading of customer POS data and 3rd party analyst data to the Business Intelligence (BI) tool (Board), customer maintenance & set up in SAP, and loading of price tables in SAP.

Lead and manage the strategy for biding and contracts for government bids (Federal, state, local, GSA contracts, etc.).

Manage the Claims Administrator and ensure timely processing of all customer claims.

Define key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure the performance of the functions within the department.

Non-Essential Duties (25% or less of time)

Manage compliance with NDSA internal policies as well as those listed in the Partner Handbooks for Distributors & Resellers.
