Position Description

As a member of the marketing operations team, the Marketing Operations – Analytics Specialist will execute deep dives into marketing and sales data, assess its integrity, build segments, and deliver meaningful insights to support and promote the digital and direct marketing programs and objectives of US Pharmaceutical Distribution.

You are a trusted data advisor. You establish a schedule for data release that supports the various operating patterns within the department. You support strategic decision making by managing and distributing data along with valuable insights via regular or ad-hoc reporting. You have experience with multiple reporting/analytics platforms (Marketo, SFDC, Tableau, and Excel) that help teams improve their understanding of campaign performance and ROI. In addition, you are a data steward who continually seeks opportunities to enhance data quality through process enhancements and data enrichment.

The right candidate must possess solid communications skills, an understanding of integrated digital marketing campaigns, and strong project management skills. The Marketing Operations – Analytics Specialist will also be responsible for continually optimizing marketing programs for improved performance using A/B and multivariate testing strategies.

This position will function in a highly-matrixed organization. As such, it will require experience working within a distributed database environment. Further, the right candidate will also have expertise in collaboration on cross-functional teams and the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner, often in sensitive situations requiring high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage campaign list pull requirements

  • Track marketing required data sources and fields throughout the enterprise data network to support demand generation, audience targeting, and segmentation

  • Manage data reliability/validation rules for marketing required data fields

  • Monitor and report on the size, age, and funnel stage level of the marketing prospect database

  • Track and report on lead dispositioning process

  • Manage opt-outs (unsubscribes and do not call) and hard bounces

  • Manage data hygiene (missing data, invalid data, incomplete records, duplicate records)

  • Manage exclusion lists including competitor, do not contact, contract exclusions, and marketing suspended

  • Manage the customer preference center

  • Manage deliverability and compliance with all international privacy regulations (i.e. CAN/SPAM. CASL)

  • Analyze campaign performance including KPIs and attribution using reports and dashboards

  • Develop campaign reporting and provide analysis (including key insights and future campaign improvements)

  • Manage A/B and multivariate optimization testing strategies

  • Ensure processes and best practices are in place to maintain the integrity of marketing data

  • Other duties as assigned in support of the Marketing Operations team

Minimum Requirements

5 years experience in market research

Critical Skills

Experience in Marketo or similar marketing automation platform.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel

  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM preferred

  • Experience with Tableau and Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics a plus

  • Solid communications skills, written and verbal

  • Poise and confidence

  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced marketing environment while constantly striving for excellence

  • Ability to work with a variety of internal/external stakeholders, varying in seniority and work experience

  • Experience communicating technical content to audiences and influencing decisions

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving and analysis

  • Able to work effectively when faced with tight deadlines, priority changes, and multiple constituencies

Excellent writing skills; thorough knowledge of company products; technical background, and analytical skills

Education

MBA preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
