Computer Operations Analyst

Work Schedule

10 hour shift / 40 hour work week

2nd Shift Sunday through Wednesday

1pm to 11:30 pm

If required, minimal constraints to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd) including weekends & holidays

Position Purpose

Responsibilities include: alert monitoring, technical support activities, incident escalations, service restoration and process documentation during assigned shift within Fiserv’s 24x7 Command Center.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and proactively respond to alerts from automated system monitors to restore service

  2. Opens, updates, closes Incident Trouble Tickets within SLA

  3. Resolve file and reporting issues

  4. Multi-task, prioritize and resolve urgent issues in an environment of rapidly shifting priorities

  5. Displays high attention to detail, adhere to all standards, processes, procedures and policies

  6. Escalates to internal and external sources to expedite resolution of an issue

  7. Attend & document outage conference bridges

  8. Supports Maintenance and Patching windows

  9. Researches and creates Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge

  10. Base articles Creates and updates system, application and file monitors

  11. Creates and reviews daily Checklists, Turnover and Metric reports

Required Qualifications

0-3 years hands on experience with Microsoft Windows 7 or newer

0-3 years hands on experience with Microsoft Office 2010 or newer

0-3 hands on experience with monitoring applications alerts handling

0-3 hands on experience with file operations in a networked server environment

Preferred (a plus but not required)

Familiarity with a variety of system management tools and programs that could include one or more of the following:

CA monitoring tools preferred (Spectrum)

Microsoft MOM / SCOM

HP SiteScope

Windows event monitoring applications

Fundamental knowledge of:

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or higher

File Transmissions (FTP)

Remedy and or Service Now

Knowledge of Microsoft applications: Office, Visio, Access & SharePoint

Basic understanding of networking principles

Education Requirements

A High School Diploma is required

Associate’s degree or higher in data processing or equivalent preferred

Certifications with Microsoft applications a plus but not required

ITIL Foundations Certifications a plus but not required

Travel Required

Up to 5 percent
