Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) Analyst
Formulate and apply mathematical modeling, simulation, statistical design, and other optimizing methods using various software packages that have direct application to high energy laser performance, lethality and effectiveness
Study topics include threats, doctrine, weapons, systems, unit effectiveness, and operational concepts. Analyst will apply Missile & Fire Control’s (MFC’s) eight step analysis process to obtain traceable, supportable results that answer the overarching question in each case.
Analyst will also identify and obtain models, simulations and other tools required to conduct such analyses.
Military experience with an in-depth understanding of combat operations, tactics and military organizations. Ground combat (Army), air defense, or aviation preferred.
Advanced degree from an accredited college in Operations Research, Operations Analysis, or equivalent work experience
Detailed knowledge of mathematics, statistics, design of experiments, or engineering
Knowledge of U.S. Government laser simulations and models (i.e. EADSIM, AFSIM, HELCoMES).
Other modeling and simulation experience
Prior military experience as a senior level O-3 or higher.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science or relevant technical field.
Must have an active Secret clearance.
Knowledge of military operations, tactics, and organization.
Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Operations Analysis.
Expertise in computer-based analytical tools and office applications.
