Business Operations Specialist – Journeyman (PMOASE-17-1126-W):
Bowhead is seeking a Business Operations Specialist – Journeyman for its PMO ASE contract in Huntsville, AL. The Business Operations Specialist – Journeyman is responsible for the administration of contracts/subcontracts.
The Business Operations Specialist – Journeyman analyzes estimates of service, material, equipment, and production cost. Reviews performance requirements ensuring contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications and federal regulations.
Issues contract and financial program documents. Structures terms and conditions to reflect company business strategy. Initiates internal documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications. Monitors company performance
on contractual obligations. May prepare/review/approve contract level proposals.
Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of contracting consistent with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and Army FAR Supplement (AFARS). Candidate will provide the following services:
a. Advise contract specialists in developing contractual documents, collecting data, and preparing reports.
b. Advise PMs in the development of contract-related documents, programs, and activities for Department of Defense (DoD) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
c. Prepare and develop acquisition requirements packages (ARP) in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and AFARS regulations and other DoD directed policies and procedures.
d. Review contract data requirements to ensure submittals are accurate, complete, and timely, in accordance with its respective contract.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Candidate must have 3 to 10 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS or MA/MS.
Physical Demands: Office Environment - - The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed
as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.
Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and/or random drug screen, and must follow UIC’s Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requirements. If the position requires, an applicant must pass a pre-employment criminal background

Where driving may be required or where a rental car must be obtained for business travel purposes, applicants must have a valid driver license for this position and will be subject to verification. In addition, the applicant must pass an in-house, online, driving
course to be authorized to drive for company purposes.
