This role will be working for Robertson Facilities Management based at Hull Grounds.
Tasks will vary on a daily basis as determined by the Grounds Maintenance Area Team Leader and will include;
Sports pitch maintenance, including grass cutting, fertilising, aeration, line marking and goal post erection.
General weeding / maintenance of paths and shrub beds / hand and/or chemical
Lawn maintenance and cultivation
To keep paths, lawns, flower beds, shrubs etc free from litter
The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery and plant.
The use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmer's and leaf blowers.
Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut etc. Oil level checks and check for damage to any mower.
To be part of a team delivering grounds maintenance.
To respond to emergencies and assist other departments when required.
To carry out gutter cleaning as required.
To ensure pathways/ car parks are free from snow and ice during winter months.
To ensure a safe working environment in line with RFM’s Health & Safety Policy. Promote and, by example, ensure safe working practices at all times.
To ensure Grounds Maintenance company vehicles are kept clean at all times, maintained according to the manufacturers recommendations, record mileage, as well as assuring the vehicles are operated in a safe manner at all times.
To undertake a variety of additional Landscape small works.
ood interpersonal skills
NVQ in horticulture or equivalent
Sound knowledge of use of horticultural machinery
Relevant practical experience
Trailer Licence desirable
PA1/PA6 Spraying Cert desirable
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check
Annualised 37.5 per week - (Summer 45 hours / Winter 30 hours)
