Provides guidance, supervision, development, and performance management to the QUEST Integration support team and Care Coodinators who are responsible for day to day operations of activities in the Service Coordination Health Management Operations Department.Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Oversees the activities of the Supervisors of operational staff and Care Coordinators who assist the Service Coordinators in ensuring that members receive timely and integrated access to services.
Hire and train staff.
Manages the appraisal and development of the staff through the Performance Management Program (PMP).
Provide regular feedback on performance, provide necessary training, development and guidance.
Mentor/coach staff as needed in order to achieve expected results and/or professional development goals.
Lead departmental planning meetings to establish current and future goals for the unit/department and ensure that they are aligned with the corporate goals of the organization.
Manage and provide leadership, direction and support to the Supervisors of the Operational staff and Care Coordinators to ensure compliance with Med-QUEST, CMS, and other state and federal rules and contractual obligations related to health plan benefit administration and accreditation requirements for NCQA, as applicable.
Work closely with the Health Management Operations leadership team to plan, develop and implement work processes to improve the quality and efficiency of the operational processes.
Handle difficult requests and member issues that are escalated by the supervisor as well as any ad hoc requests and projects assigned by the Director.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Must have experience supervising and training staff.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to present detailed and complex information to staff and management.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Neighbor Island travel as needed.
