Batteries Plus Bulbs is adding an Sales Operations Manager to our National Accounts Team! We are looking an individial with strong leadership and sales operations to manage and coordinate efforts to support and improve the sales activities for products sold to key identified national accounts. In this role, the individual will work with the team of National Account Executives to create and execute the growth plans of our key customers.

Sales Support

  • Continuously review Inside Sales processes for improvement and present solutions

  • Create and manage the process of acquiring data, images, product descriptions and all information needed for catalog or web based sales by identified national accounts, keeping product listings up to date as changes are made.

  • Respond to and manage process of launching new products within identified accounts providing all available information to populate new product files.

  • Process and respond to individual product data requests as required by national accounts

  • Support management and execution of RFQ's (Requests for Quotes) and RFI's (Request For Information) to support business growth

  • Support sales team in development of presentations for customer meetings

Account Management

  • Deliver portfolio and product information, sales performance and activity progress directly to national accounts upon request to aid in selling referenced product lines.

  • Manage, communicate, and update customer pricing to be aligned with market conditions

  • Responsible for pricing inquiries to contribute overall decision making and business growth

  • Provide solutions to customer requests, issues, and inquiries to assure service excellence

  • Attend customer meetings as needed, create action plans, and assure timely follow up

People Management

  • Design, develop and mentor National Accounts team to support accounts and sales team

  • Lead and coach team for individual and team development by monitoring performance and communicating expectations and results on a regular basis.

  • Develop, promote and communicate company policies, procedures and standards and good business practice

  • Perform regular live call-audits of CSRs (Customer Support Representatives) using standardized evaluation form. Record and communicate results in a timely manner.

  • Ensure department logs 100% of incoming inquiries with the Call Tracking Application.

  • Evaluate and execute appropriate action plans to improve or recognize associate performance.

  • Maintain optimal staffing levels. Interview and hire qualified associates.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Business, Operations or other related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 4 -6 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations and/or Customer Service.

  • Previous management/supervisory experience required.

  • Knowledge or Order processing systems, CRM systems, database software a plus

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and/or other similar databases or software with an ability to adapt learning to incorporate new technology.

  • Proven problem solving skills. Duties require considerable judgment to work independently to devise new or modify existing methods, processes, procedures or standards to meet requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills with sense of urgency. Ability to independently handle multiple projects/tasks under general oversight. Able plan, develop, and establish priorities to meet deadlines with good control and results. The capacity and desire to handle heavy workloads and extra hours when required in a fast paced, changing environment

  • Proven ability to make presentations to senior management, groups of employees, or customers that may involve persuasion, and obtaining approvals. Responsibility to work autonomously and collaboratively with the ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas effectively.

  • Ability to work with confidential data such as process, service and product costs which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
