The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the operation with direct supervision of all warehouse and transportation activities as well as being responsible for the operating performance of the branch. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, cost effective and timely movement of Pet goods. This involves supervising the picking, packing, and shipping of orders and is responsible for training and development of all warehouse and delivery employees. This position assures adequate planning, staffing, equipment needs, procedural compliance, and inventory accuracy.The Operations Manager reports to senior level management with Pet Distribution (Pet D) and works in conjunction with Customer Service and the Sales team to develop and maintain strong customer relations, plan and execute established sales goals to achieve financial success. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.Day-to-day management of the Operations at the Distribution Center.Work directly with vendors, buyers, planners, replenishment, transportation, distribution, and compliance areas.Actively contribute to the Distribution Center Leadership team by taking ownership of key projects or activities and mobilizing cross-functional team members to deliver the goals.Ensure all legal requirements are met relating to H.R. policies and procedures.Ensure all options are considered and most cost effective solution is taken to solve everyday business operational issues.Work with your colleagues to deliver the Distribution Center team KPI's.
