Philips Operations Coordinator - Stock Control in Guildford, United Kingdom

  • Responsible for stock allocation, transfer of stock and allocating against specialized orders such as stock transfer, own use etc.

  • Review stock and back orders on a daily basis and allocate stock according to the Customer Demand Plans

  • Update allocations that have been given by commercial management and see that total amounts are allocated correctly to customers/channels

  • Process stock transfers from Philips warehouse to third party locations for extra-work etc. and advise internal customers accordingly and in line with company policy. Maintain Good Stock Movements internally at warehouse

  • Liaise with Order Desk, Marketing, Demand Planners, Forwarding Agents, Warehouse and Distribution to ensure the smooth operation of the supply process

  • Participate in cross-training to provide effective cover

  • Participate in customer meetings and projects as directed by the management

This role will be based in Guildford with interviews being held on the 1st September.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Be responsible for the outbound supply and allocation of all finished goods for UK customers

  • Lead continuous improvement projects in the Operations department

You are responsible for

You are a part of

This position will be part of the Philips UK&I Operations team, and will report to the Operations Manager. It interacts regularly with internal UK stakeholders: Customer and Sales Support Coordinators, Demand Planners and Account Managers, as well as central Warehouse and Distribution. External stakeholders include transport and warehousing service providers, and customer Operations contacts.

It will be based from our Guildford office.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Someone with strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good computer skills, mainly Excel. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage, although training will be provided

  • Highly organised and methodical with the ability to follow through processes. Good attention to detail is critical

  • Able to work on their own initiative and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Able to work under pressure with the ability to handle complex situations

  • Someone with an appreciation of the major factors and constraints affecting factory production and component availability and previous experience in a similar role or stock control function is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided

  • Project management skills

KPIs

  • CSL (Customer Service Level) and OTIF

  • TPW (Transport, Packaging and Warehousing cost) as % sales
