Kelly Services is currently hiring a Process Tech/ Operator for a DIRECT HIRE position located in Greenville SC. This position is paying $14-17/hr. depending on experience and is rotating shifts. In this position you will work 12 hour rotating shifts that include day shift, night shift and weekends. Our client has EXCELLENT health benefits and they start the day after you are hired!

The Process Technician/ Operator executes batch operating procedures, conducts all equipment and laboratory operations in the manufacture of chemical intermediates and target compounds according to laboratory procedures, operating instructions, work orders and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).


Operates all Pilot Plant / GMP suite systems, including but not limited to, reactors, agitators, condensers, columns, centrifuges, pumps, filters, dryers, receivers, chillers and instrumentation. This includes proper start up, normal operation, shutdown and emergency shutdown of systems. Assists chemists in conducting experiments or manufacturing chemical intermediates and target compounds utilizing laboratory equipment. Follows EHS and cGMP procedural requirements. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Implements appropriate safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment, including use of full face respirators and breathing air apparatus. Maintains or requests maintenance of all equipment, including but not limited to, reactors, agitators, condensers, columns, centrifuges, pumps, filters, dryers, receivers, chillers, instrumentation, hoses and ensures equipment calibration is current.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Completion of Chemical Engineering Technology curriculum or mechanical background or equivalent related experience is preferred Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to make standard solutions, converting kg to L using density, and calculate yields based on theoretical and actual weights. The position requires frequent lifting and/or movement up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be capable of tilting and rolling drums up to 600 pounds and be capable of transporting 600 pound drums with a drum truck
