We are looking for a Finishing Operations Manager at our flagship facility in Greenfield, IN which will report into the Plant Manager.
What you will be doing:
The Finishing Operations Manager will direct one or more areas of the manufacturing environment in order to meet production, quality and cost objectives, overseeing the day-to-day operations. In this role, delivering on these responsibilities is critical to success:
Employee Development & Management
- Train and provide development opportunities for team. Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated. Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed. Perform general management duties, conduct performance appraisals, promotions and terminations. Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals. Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
- Oversee the practice of all health and safety procedures, ensuring that safety is employees' top priority. Lead a safe operation of the business unit and comply with legal and corporate safety requirements. Drive execution of site improvement plans, help set operations improvement goals. Analyze and draw information for long-term strategic change and improvement for multiple teams/shifts. Lead significant projects and improvement initiatives, scheduling and planning, budgeting and control. Ensure that manufacturing team members meet site goals and objectives. Participate in the establishment of sites' annual operating plans.

Bachelor degree required with 7+ years Operations/Manufacturing experience with 4+ manufacturing leadership experience.
Leadership experience and having the ability to motivate, coach, influence and build relationships in a team-based environment.
Results driven with a focus on continuous improvement with working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow, cellular etc.) and be able to integrate those into the operation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and grow individuals.
Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
