Location:Gainesville, GEORGIAPosition Type:Full Time, Temporary to PermanentShift:First ShiftJob DescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION: (This position includes, but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities) Duties: Sort and classify cut off saw and laser routers each day. Pull laser, shear, and punch routers and the MRP each morning for nesting, releasing to the shop, and for the purchase of materials. Pull saw routers and have material checked to determine if material is needed or if the routers can be released to the saw. Create nests in both Radan and Profitfab. Create the schedule each day in Excel for each laser. Check the nesting report each day to assure jobs with the same material are being nested together. Review the Laser WIP report and ensure that all jobs have been released to the floor. Check material availability as needed. Responsibilities: Expedite orders/jobs as requested. Develop and follow all Planning Procedures/work instructions. Participate in departmental status meetings. Communicate questions and issues with Customer Service, Purchasing, Expediting, Engineering and Production. Work toward Inventory Management Improvement. Develop a strategy for the implementation of full FMS utilization. Participate and Anchor the development of MRP reports and strategies, Nesting features, and material consumption strategy after the purchase of the new ERP system. Develop Laser Efficiency Improvement through the use of nesting and scheduling development. Authorities: To stop work and request additional information from Management, Sales or Customers. Initiate and Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions. Possess absolute authority to immediately stop work anywhere in the facility to prevent safety violations and/or non-conformance. To control or limit access to the facility by anyone not employed by the company. Initiate NCR reports for any non-conformance.
