Unloads product from railcars, unloads product from bulk trucks, loads product into bulk trucks, and performs tank transfers. There are three shift positions for this job. Two shift positions regularly start at 6:00 a.m., referred to as day shift, two regularly start at 2:00 p.m., referred to as swing shift, and one regularly starts at 10:00 p.m., referred to as night shift. This job position does not have any supervisory duties. This position may have direct bulk customer interaction. The Terminal Operator should follow all Cargill’s written safety policies, health policies, and guiding principles. The Terminal Operator also needs to stay focused on customer requirements
The following duties are included:
Bulk truck loading and all associated tasks.
Railcar unloading and all associated tasks.
Tank transferring, routine boiler operation and testing, tank inventory, and nitrogen headspace testing.
Completes tank farm and terminal area housekeeping.
Unloads bulk trucks.
Completes various paperwork duties.
Correspondence with lab, Terminal Supervisor, or bulk sales coordinator in case of any order or tank discrepancies.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
High School diploma or Equivalent
Must be able to read/write English
Basic computer skills
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat.
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Able to work in elevated areas
Able to operate machinery
Prior experience in production related work
