GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Works in Government environment supporting test, research, and development of emerging weapons technology.
Supports warfighter training and qualification by directly participating in rehearsals, exercises, and other events.
Interface with customers in order to determine desired stimulus in test/training environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Troubleshoot, maintain, operate various US and foreign weapons systems from 60mm - 127mm..
Provide highly accurate aerial targets to customers in support of operational assessments, research and development, and testing scenarios.
Experience in mapping and surveying necessary to accurately set up launch sites, fire azimuths and impact points.
Mathematical competency to convert units of measurement, both foreign and domestic (e.g.-milliradians, degrees, minutes of angle, meters, miles, decimal degrees).
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of indirect fire, trajectories, meteorological effects, fire control, fire commands, and adjusting impacts.
Experience in working on a military base, extended hours, and in austere locations.
Experience operating military radio systems and familiar with radio net protocols.

Safety minded, with previous training in risk management processes, with a working knowledge of risk reduction strategy and mitigations.
Customer service minded, able to understand and capture unique customer needs and convey them to supervisor.
Proven experience in ammunition and explosives handling, packaging, transport, and storage.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Repetitive movement of hands and fingers (i.e., frequent computer use, typing and writing).
Indoor office environment and/or laboratory environment (potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, odors, hot/cold depending on location).
Moving items of up to 50 lbs and lifting to a height of 3 to 4 feet is potentially required (frequency by exact position).
Extended hours outside.
Long hours standing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
Ability to adhere to workplace rules
Must possess a secret clearance or have the ability to gain one
Experience working in a classified government facility with DoD systems.
Excellent writing and speaking skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Hourly, non-exempt. Part time, on call, as needed
5-10 years experience working in a Test Range environment
Travel Required: 75%
