SUMMARY: The CMM Operator assures that CMM and related product, tooling, and processes follow customer, regulatory, and internal specifications. The CMM Operator performs complex geometric inspections on diverse product lines which include first of type and recurring fabricated pieces and mechanical assemblies; Heavy emphasis on program development, validation, optimization, first article inspection and CMM inspection. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Create, revise and maintain CMM programs under a Calypso programming environment * Create CMM set-up instructions * Verify product conformance through the extensive use of CMM, advanced inspections tools, gages, visual and mechanical inspection methods * Interpret work from detailed technical drawings and 2D/3D CAD * Make recommendations on disposition of non-conforming product by utilizing Quality tools, manufacturing procedures and processes * Prepare detailed inspection documentation such as written description if inspection results including deviations * Responsible for the daily maintenance of CMM machine and other inspection tools and gauges * Comply with all quality and safety regulations and procedures * This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary QUALIFICATIONS: * Two year technical degree in related field, or 5+ years of relevant quality and manufacturing experience within an ISO controlled and/or government regulated environment * Experience within the Aerospace Industry with exposure to AS9100 and FAA regulations preferred * Outstanding organizational skills and experience with managing multiple deadlines at once * Strong technical skills including the ability to read and understand technical drawings * Coordinate Measuring Matching- CMM programing and operating experience * Dimensional Inspection and experience working with a wide array of close tolerance, precision parts * Proficient in communicating information to individuals and groups in both written and presentation form * Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, and is able to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & associated software efficiently * Self-starter that is able to work extended hours as required to satisfy customer deadlines Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online:
