PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.
Plans, manages and coordinates the activities of assigned employees in the Support Operations area – including Contracts, Finance, Security, HR and IT - either directly or through subordinate managers. Responsible for the operation of the Support Operations Directorate and also serves as Deputy General Manager to back-up the General Manager. In the Deputy General Manager function, assumes responsibility for the overall operation of the Fort Rucker Maintenance Contract in the absence of the General Manager. As the single point of contact in the absence of the General Manager, this position has the authority to act upon Team URS's behalf as the senior Team URS employee. Report directly to the General Manager. Either directly or through subordinate managers and supervisors:
Provides oversight and direction to the Support Operations Directorate,
Facilitates the creation of a work environment where safety, quality, customer responsiveness are the core values,
Developes, communicates and directs long term planning to reach strategic improvement goals in customer satisfaction, delivery of PWS requirements and employee involvement,
Responsible for keeping Customer Project Officer and Senior Management informed,
Ensure all performance, training and adherence to requirements are met,
Responsive to employee concerns and builds team cohesiveness,
Acts as "Designated PM" when the GM is unavailable.
Requires the same qualifications as the General Manager. A Bachelors' degree or 8 years of equivalent experience and a minimum of 20 years of directly related US Army aviation maintenance management experience in a comparable professional and/or management position, experience leading an organization of over 1,000 staff, and a minimum of of 3 years' business management experience with profit and loss responsibility. Demonstrates the appropriate combination of experience, education, expertise and leadership to be successful in the overall management of a complex program. Experience must include the following:
Knowledge of policies and regulations governing Army aviation force requirements, maintenance and supply management and quality control,
Knowledge of principles of DOD Partnering, SOW compliance, contracts, subcontracts, HR and financial management,
Excellent program management skills, supervisory skills and analytical skills,
ability to conceptualize requirements, anticipate tasks, recognize specific mission requirements,
Experience working in a collective bargaining agreement environment.
