Performs a variety of finance/accounting functions, focused on accurate commission payments and reporting, in support of our salesforce. All work must be in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting and other financial areas.
Act as business partner to salesforce to provide support including ad hoc requests, trainings, & commission-related inquiries.
Analyzes incentives, trends, and exceptions for commission tiers with highest degree of complexity.
Collaborates on regular basis with leadership including VP, Directors, and Finance leads.
Subject matter expert of commissions system & sales reporting tool, including data warehouse & system’s logic.
Actively participates in salesforce compensation strategy, including annual compensation plan & bonus objectives, acting as liaison between finance & sales leadership.
Will work cross-functionally with IT counterparts to support salesforce/business needs, identifying areas of improvement.
Compiles test scripts and participates in UAT, user experience testing, and all projects
Coordinates all adjustments & payments for salesforce, ensuring precise and accurate calculations.
Responsible for calculating and processing monthly sales commissions for business unit.
Completes journal entries & month end reporting in a timely manner while compliance with GAAP.
Assesses commission programs, using data to provide feedback to sales leadership on effectiveness.
0-2 years of accounting and financial analysis experience preferred.
Shows solid grasp of commission fundamentals and possesses the technical skills necessary to adequately support business needs.
Demonstrates solid business expertise for his/her respective business unit, so that he/she may adeptly problem-solve and/or anticipate commission requests.
Peers include Analysts and Sr. Coordinators.
Adept at solving moderate to complex commission and system challenges.
Must understand operations, process and procedures and be able to represent this information in financial/statistical format.
Must be able to consistently apply GAAP to all activities and functions.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be PC literate with working knowledge of standard accounting/financial software.
Advance Excel experience required.
Excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment effectively.
Exceptional inter-personal communication skills.
Job will include 25% travel
