MWH Constructors (MWHC), a nationally recognized heavy civil construction firm, is currently seeking a Director of Commissioning, Startup, Operations & Maintenance. Ideally this position would be based in our corporate headquarters in Broomfield, CO but remote locations may be considered depending on qualifications. The ability to travel is required.

The C&SU/O&M Director at MWH Constructors will manage development and support of our water and energy Commissioning and Start up activities, client water and energy performance improvement initiatives, operations and maintenance support for projects, and related professional services delivered by MWH Constructors.

In this role, he or she will be responsible for recruiting, retaining, and motivating utility professionals assigned to MWH Constructors projects and ensure that the services provided support the client’s vision for their utility. In addition, he or she will also lead utility commissioning, start up, operations and maintenance initiatives that can enhance MWH Constructor’s strategy to provide clients with innovative services that support their utility’s future objectives.

Major Responsibilities

•\tManage the utility performance, O&M, and C&SU key professionals within MWH Constructors to enhance MWH Constructor’s strategy.

•\tAttract, retain and motivate an organization that can manage not only the existing contracted utility performance, O&M, and C&SU services, but one that has capacity for growth and scale and exploration of undeveloped new services.

•\tDevelop, articulate and execute a strategy to further integrate utility performance, O&M, and C&SU services into MWH Constructor’s existing business

•\tSupport business development of projects, with the goal to ensure that appropriate levels of utility performance, O&M, and C&SU are considered and the client benefits of these services are well described to the prospective client

•\tAssist in the delivery and startup of projects where O&M services have been contracted to ensure that the promises made are achieved within the budget and schedules that were planned.

Qualifications:

•\tA minimum of 15 years of experience in water and/or energy, O&M, and C&SU services.

•\tDemonstrated leadership of professional services.

•\tHighly experienced in coordinating utility support services with engineering and utility management teams.

•\tEducation and experience in water and wastewater utility leadership.

-\tDeveloping, articulating and executing a C&SU, O&M, and utility performance improvement strategy and ensuring buy in to that strategy in both acceptance and action from key stakeholders, by exhibiting the passion, commitment and dedication to performance excellence to enable him or her to take and support difficult stances when necessary.

•\tGrowth Focus – Further expand utility performance services into a world-class, increasingly national business by:

-\tBeing the company’s most visible advocate of C&SU, O&M and utility performance improvement services applied to projects and how these services can add value to clients’ projects.

-\tWorking proactively with the rest of MWH Constructors to seek utility performance improvement services that can be integral in support of the strategy to grow the company

-\tBe intellectually curious and willing, within reason, to explore utility performance improvement service offerings that can disrupt MWH Constructor’s markets and services.
