Description

This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that mixes or blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Set up and break down lines as required. Operates all line head side equipment per SOP as defined in the Production Manual. Ensure product specifications are met in accordance with customer written specifications. Responsible for monitoring and reporting any wear and tear on equipment. Must have the ability to enter data into the Plant View system. Responsible for operating machinery, understanding specs of the product being ran, documenting both on paper and electronically machine setting, weights and other data as needed. Applicant must be able to assemble, disassemble and clean equipment when needed and communicate issues to lead and supervisor. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include, but are not limited to, Tortilla, Taco, Corn, Sanitation and Packing. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a tour.

Requirements

Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis. Must be able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device. Must be able to use a calculator to figure yield efficiencies, scrap yield, and calculate SPC documentation (add, subtract, divide, and multiply). Must be able to read all Operator logs. You must have three months of work history within the last six months to be considered for this position. Applicants will be considered from the following counties in AR Washington, Benton, Crawford and Madison.
