Shire Technical Operations Procurement Operations Analyst in Exton, Pennsylvania
The Analyst position is responsible to enable Tech Ops Procurement Category Management and Sourcing Activities and core processes including but not limited to opportunity analysis, risk management, supplier management, operational KPIs, financial modeling, supplier market intelligence, Visual Management and data analysis/insights. They will be the primary operations analyst for the Tech Ops Procurement team and will work closely with Category Pilar Heads, Opu Site Procurement Leads, and Site Teams. The incumbent must have proven analytical skills with data analysis, perform industry research, navigate and master procurement and enterprise systems, answer/solve routine to complex requests and orchestrate the respective Tech Ops Procurement annual deliverables and work process by taking direction from the Head of Tech Ops Business Operations.
The Incumbent will be responsible for contributing to and implementing decisions that has an impact on the overall success of the Tech Ops Procurement Team.
The nature of the work is global in scope and the incumbent is expected to manage complex levels of project work in a matrixed work environment.
Department Operations and Visual Management
Create, manage and maintain supplier KPIs and dashboards for technical operations procurement.
Create, manage and maintain team performance KPIs and Visual Management, progress against goals, Industry trends, Department Updates, etc.
Manage and maintain performance against budget and savings target for the Category Pilar/Site Procurement teams
Create, manage and maintain a platform to communicate key successes of the department both internally & externally
Work with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment
Data Analytics, Insights, Financial Modeling, and Supply Market Intelligence
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex supplier/industry data sets to find savings opportunities
Manage and maintain supplier risk score card & risk mitigation project tracker
Manage and maintain supplier segmentation database
Manage and maintain issues management database
Manage and maintain supplier forecasts
Use data to create models that depict trends in production and the supplier population as a whole
Work with sub pillar heads to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project
Investigate and report to the any inconsistencies or improprieties in data
Support ad hoc reporting requests on business case analysis, financial mdeling, and/or negotiations
Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the team’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
Implement special projects as assigned by Tech Op Procurement Leadership Team.
Technology and Processes Efficiency
Become SME in procurement tools including but not limited to Axerion, Wave, Coupa, Ariba, Zycus, SAP and JDE. Prior SAP and JDE experience strongly preferred.
Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality of report out on supplier and department performance
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes with supplier base
Education & Experience Requirements
BA or BS required (Supply Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering preferred)
Minimum of 3 years' strong analytics experience
Procurement qualification (e.g. CPSM, MCIPS) preferred
Knowledge of procurement category management preferred
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.) Spend analytics experience gained in either a pharmaceutical company or in a mature consultancy/agency
Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Qlik)
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Computer literacy and good working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
Must have demonstrated problem solving/ troubleshooting skills
Experience with project management and change management

Knowledge of multiple spending patterns, supplier processes, business processes across the company must be employed to effectively make recommendations to stakeholders regarding spend analysis and sourcing opportunities.
