Air Operations Liaison Manager in Erlanger, Kentucky

As an Air Operations Liaison Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Air Hub Operations, Gateway Operations, Sort Center Operations and Air Planning. One of your main focuses will be driving best practices and standardization at the Hub based on feedback from the Hub, gateways and sort centers. You will be responsible for daily interaction with Hub operations to include sortation, inbound and outbound line haul operations as well as inbound and outbound air operations. To achieve this, managers are expected to work closely with all levels of management and associates in a third party environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive feedback process to track, improve and monitor key performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and standardization

  • Partnering with the management team across the entire air logistics chain to establish and maintain process standards

  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives

  • Driving process compliance by partnering closely with supervisors and managers at the Hub, gateways and sort centers.

  • Documenting, communicating and maintaining standards for all aspects of daily hub operations

  • Supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates

  • Ensuring procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention

  • Creating, managing, and supporting initiatives to drive both compliance and continuous improvement.

  • A completed bachelor’s degree is required

  • 4+ years’ leadership experience in front line management and/or process improvement

  • You have 4+ years’ experience building processes within the logistics environment

  • You are flexible to work on any type of assigned shift (nights, weekends, etc.).

  • 4+ years’ experience using Kaizens and LEAN tools

  • 4+ years’ experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Sharepoint)

  • Experience using and communicating performance metrics

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

  • You have over 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.

  • You have prior experience in an air Hub or gateway operation

  • You are leader and exhibit that in you every day work. You not only have experience in managing a team of 30+ employees, you also lead process improvements though Lean process, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.

  • You enjoy analytical work and using data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions. Data is what you look to when given a problem to solve.

  • You typically volunteer to lead projects and help your team achieve goals. You have a track record of taking ownership and driving results.
