Water-Sewer Operator I-III
Reporting to the Water-Sewer Superintendent, this position within the Water and Sewer Department requires semi-skilled work in the operation of excavation, construction and related equipment used in water and sewer maintenance. Incumbents occasionally operate backhoes, trenchers, dump trucks, vacuum trucks, loaders and other equipment in the maintenance and repair of water and sewer lines, valves, manholes, pump stations and other utility infrastructure. Incumbents are also required to perform manual labor.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. The successful applicant must possess a valid drivers license and must be able to obtain a class B Nevada commercial drivers license within 6 months of hiring date. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in a water distribution environment

The starting hourly wage will vary based on experience and certifications which are valid in Nevada. The starting wage is $16.13 to $18.22 per hour Laborer or $22.50 to $25.41 per hour Operator I, $23.89 to $27.00 per hour Operator II, $25.60 to $28.93 per hour Operator III, plus an excellent benefits package.
