Job Title:QA Manager - Mobile Environmental Laboratory OperationJob ID:23677Location:NJ - EdisonFull/Part Time:Full-TimeRegular/Temporary:RegularResponsibilities(General) Reviews all study protocols and conducts moderately complex inspections to ensure that work being performed adheres to GLP, the protocol, and standard operating procedures. Audits research reports for non-clinical laboratory studies and works in support of such studies. Notifies appropriate staff of findings at the conclusion of audits and inspections. Makes recommendations to management to correct any deficiencies uncovered. Follows up on all audits and inspections to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented. Reports to management on actions taken.Coordinates the maintenance of the quality assurance archives and filing system. Makes recommendations to management to automate the quality assurance records system. Stays abreast of new developments in government requirements and recommends changes to management in policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Prepares and assists others in the development of reports, briefings, studies, or other information to management.(Location-Specific) - Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance, quality control, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. Maintains NELAC accreditation and maintains the Ultra-dilute CWA standard security and tracking requirements. Formulates and maintains the laboratory Quality Management Plan, QA/QC reports, SOPs, SOG, and QAPPs. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the Program Manager.QualificationsRequires an accredited bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of direct experience in environmental laboratories. An MS degree in chemistry or related field with experience in quality assurance/control in a non-clinical laboratory is preferred.Proficient in environmental laboratory QA/QC practices, and procedures. Experience with EPA regulations, methods, and policies.Excellent verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
