We are looking for a Director of Operational and Photographic Support to join the team at our corporate headquarters.

This position is responsible for leading seasonal readiness projects and developing a Continuous Improvement road-map for the business division, primarily to support the field photographic and operations execution teams. The Director of Operational and Photographic Support will impact host and customer retention through developing and executing strategic initiatives across the business division. Additionally, he or she will develop and manage project budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the implementation, management and evaluation of field operations processes and procedures, in accordance with the standards and procedures set out by the organization.

  • Develop and implement Continuous Improvement road map for the National School Studios division (LNSS). Identify priorities that will improve account retention and field simplification.

  • Direct and oversee the implementation and execution of LNSS photography quality, Senior Session Script, Fall, etc. Inspection of quality and development of action plans for low performing territories.

  • Collaborate with Regional Director of Operations in the launch of new operational and photo programs providing program benefits and information.

  • Develop and implement photographer certification program.

  • Ensure alignment with Photo Development in the design, development and implementation of new photography programs and the improvement of existing programs that appeal to consumers, meet Lifetouch and host requirements around equipment size, weight and cost, photographer skill and capability, productivity and time per subject, and subject and photographer safety and ergonomics.

  • Collaborate with the Canadian photo team in the training and execution of their photo quality and photographer development programs.

  • Develop metrics/methods to measure the success of continuous improvement and all new and existing photography programs, including consumer participation, sales average, subject experience and host Picture Day evaluations in conjunction with Field Finance the the Business Metrics teams.

  • Responsible for working with leadership in identifying high-priority areas for improvement in order to ensure Continuous Improvement efforts are aligned to and fully support profit Plan and Strategic Plan goals

  • Partner with LNSS production and Learning and Development to develop Lean Training for LNSS. Create plans with cross-functional teams and execute on designed plans.

  • Serve as a change agent promoting the use of Lean Six Sigma methodology

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to lead and develop teams; highly effective communicator with strong written and verbal presentation skills.

  • Work independently to complete projects as assigned, by both mentoring as well as driving individual projects to successful execution and appropriate use of lean tools/methodologies

  • Create an environment where all employees have increased opportunities to contribute to the success of the business and the security of their future through Continuous Improvement efforts

  • Develop and implement department budgets as required. Monitor department spending and report status to stay within budget.

  • Provide leadership, coaching and performance management to department personnel to ensure their individual contributions and growth and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years management experience

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
