The Associate Director, ITC Operations is responsible for working closely with the Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines business to provide guidance and solutions for export and import operational activities. Specific responsibilities include:
Proactive development and implementation of enhancements, strategies, processes, and standard work to ensure Military Engines ongoing compliance with all export / import laws, regulations and UTC/P&W policies. This includes identification of compliance risks and assisting with the development of plans to eliminate and/or mitigate risks.
Lead SAP/GTS project implementation for non-US sites ensuring U.S. and foreign trade compliance requirements are addressed. This includes overseeing the design, testing, and transition to production for each non-US site.
Lead initiative to automate shipments through SAP/ GTS and generate required export documentation.
Oversee the deployment of SAP enhancements and develop standard work supporting Importer Security Filing, Country of Origin and miscellaneous export transactions.
Maintain Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, and Schedule B and completing required updates to SAP.
Lead activities to support the Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program requirements for Military Engines.
Identify and lead implementation of enhancements to various IT tools used for transfers of technical data and ensure that ITC requirements are incorporated into application functionality.
Participate in Pratt & Whitney ITC activities including: audits, internal investigations, corrective actions, communications, and training.
Represent Military Engines ITC, as required, in ITC process improvement initiatives led by ITC-Legal organization and ensure that business unit requirements are sufficiently addressed.
BA/BS degree with 6–10+ years’ experience
3 + years’ experience understanding of the ITAR and EAR and other applicable laws and regulations governing international trade.
U.S. Citizen required.
MA/MS degree with 4–7+ years’ experience
Strong analytical, project management, interpersonal, leadership, and verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a collaborative team player, possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, adaptive, and work effectively in a time sensitive and dynamic environment.
Experience with SAP and GTS.
Professional maturity to work with minimal daily supervision while balancing numerous priorities.
