POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: This position is responsible for the overall financial business operations and analysis (Expense, Capital, Labor) for NCR Information Technology – Saas Data Center Operations. This position includes working directly with the CIO in compiling sophisticated and professional presentations for the IT and NCR Leadership Team. Responsible for evaluating and predicting IT program spending and return for our customer-facing SaaS Solution Data Centers. Responsible for measurement, planning and forecasting of IT activities and implications to income statement and balance sheet. Responsible to develop new capabilities to improve processes and efficiency of spend, and to develop appropriate financial methods of evaluating and measuring IT performance. Evaluate IT programs with complete analysis of economic impact on business. Serve as a resource to CIO, IT partners and FP&A on analytical methods and financial measures for IT. In adition may be asked to prepare Industry Research, and Competitive Intelligence.

  • Manage the financial requirements for IT Services – SaaS ops, including approximately 10 sub organizations with senior level partnering with NCR’s business organizations for NCR’s SaaS Data Centers.

  • The size of the annual budget 80M OpEx / $4M CapEx. Manage 3-5 Business Operations Finance Analysts in: Providing efficient tracking of cost categories such as purchased and developed software, infrastructure and labor costs globally.

  • Drive significant process improvements across IT including the definition and implementation of Project Accounting and improved benchmarking.

  • Manage the headcount planning for the IT organization, including the forecasting and reporting of headcount by function. Work closely with IT-LT, Portfolio Management and F&A to complete monthly and quarterly reporting and to prepare the annual strategic and financial plans.

  • Oversee the preparation of internal charges for services provided to other NCR organizations by IT Services.

  • Participate in the preparation of Capital Appropriation Requests and Purchase Orders and ensure that all costs are booked appropriately. Responsible for Outlooks (Expense, Labor, Capital, Headcount) Participate in Benefit Realization Process (PIPV)


  • 10 years’ experience in IT Financial or Business Operations

  • Demonstrated competency in the area of IT budgeting and planning

  • Ability to direct and integrate multiple planning and reporting sub-functions (headcount, expense, and capitalizations)

  • Understanding of IT Governance and Engineering Processes and Policies

  • Ability to consolidate and synthesize information from multiple sources (industry benchmarks, vendor responses, Corporate F&A, etc.)

  • Ability to plan, organizes, and, prioritizes workload.

  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem solving ability; to work quickly and accurately; to work under pressure and deliver to deadline

  • Demonstrated thought leadership and inclination to work proactively

  • Value-add mentality regarding budget opportunities

  • Excellent change control practices, organizational skills, and quality of work

  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and Power Point capabilities including excel formulas and pivot tables, charting, graphing, and table creation

  • Proficiency with Financial systems, Data Warehouse Systems, and Business Intelligence.

  • BS/BA degree in MIS and/or Finance MBA is a plus
