About the Position:

Serves as Maintenance Control Specialist for the Huntington District, Operations & Readiness Division, Muskingum Area Office, located in the Dover, Ohio geographic area supporting major multipurpose water resource projects that may include power generation, navigation locks, flood control, visitor centers, natural resources and recreation features, or other appurtenant elements at several locations. Maintains, controls and administers a comprehensive computerized maintenance management system, such as Facilities Equipment Maintenance System (FEM), or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Experience required:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: experience using a computerized management system to schedule, gather data, and perform analysis of programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-07 grade (or equivalent). To be referred, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.

Education
