Constituent Experience & Operations interns provide best-in-class customer service to IJM constituents. Although specific tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, interns can expect their tasks to include:
Corresponding via email and phone with IJM supporters regarding donations, information updates and IJM partnership opportunities to strengthen constituent relationships by providing timely, professional responses;
Coordinating across the Global Advancement division to process new constituent information gathered from IJM speaking engagements and other events;
Coordinating the fulfillment of deliverables for IJM’s key fundraising marketing programs including the Freedom Partner program, the annual Holiday Gift Catalog and other programs as needed;
Communicating with international donors to connect them with IJM’s Partner Offices overseas;
Maintaining constituent records in IJM’s constituent database; and
Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.
IJM's Internship opportunities vary every session and look different in every office. Interns generally will assist a specific person or team. The positions involve the described tasks and responsibilities as well as other relevant duties that may be assigned by the Field Office Director or Supervisor.
General Qualifications and Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree is required for all internships and fellowships except any Washington, DC Internships (Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC Internships and applicants need to have completed at least three years of undergraduate study).
