The Rig Operator is responsible for the installation and service of continuous sucker rod, ponies, polish rods, pumps and drive units in a safe and efficient manner so as to exceed customers’ expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Installs and services continuous sucker rod and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Drives the Corod rig safely and courteously.
Completes all paperwork (service tickets, rig inspections, time sheets, maintenance records, work orders, accident/incident reports, etc.) properly and completely, submit in a timely manner.
Tracks all tools required for the operation and ensure adequate stock of supplies.
Obtains all necessary permits for rig.
Completes monthly rig inspections, attends safety meetings, maintains log of required repairs issues.
Responds to all questions and concerns, maintains contact with oil company rep. throughout each job for customer satisfaction.
Observes job procedures and identifies problems, provides suggestions for controlling or eliminating problems, actively participates in continuous process improvement.
May supervise rig assistants.
Participates in and promotes HOW 5 reporting.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
High School diploma
Six months oilfield experience preferred.
Industry related certifications i.e. first aid, H2S, CPR.
Flexibility with regard to working hours.
