About the Department:
DaVita's well-regarded law department counsels all businesses of the Company and provides legal support for all transactions. The attorneys are viewed as strategic business partners and work closely with each other and with senior management on a daily basis.
The DaVita in-house team is known as the "Justice League or the JLD." The Justice League is comprised of over 250 attorneys, paralegals, and professionals. JLD Operations supports the Justice League’s operations through finance, technology and analytics / reporting.
Primary role of position/purpose:
This position leads and manages the JLD Operations analytical team to deliver analysis, reports and projects on or ahead of schedule for all customers both internal and external and to develop new reports, analyses, partnerships, and analytical services to meet or exceed needs within and peripheral to the business unit.
Provide leadership to direct reports, coaching, mentoring, and training as required. Help direct reports to overcome any organizational obstacles encountered during projects
Perform high-level analysis of business issues; identify areas of improvement, and create strategies, plans, and business models (legal, financial, clinical, and/or operational) to resolve
Supports and leads strategic and operational initiatives as needed
Manage and lead assigned duties & projects with significant accountability and ownership; meet expectations and metrics required to “get stuff done”
Develop recommendations and analysis for presentations and reports as needed
Data Liaison – working with enterprise resources to identify, update and compliantly share data for advancing legal and ancillary lanes insight of knowledge
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience in data modeling and analytics
Knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server preferred
Knowledge and experience with SAS, SPSS or other statistical packages preferred
Advance computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required
Demonstrated strengths in communication skills both verbal and written: ability to communicate highly technical, clinical, analytical and statistical information to business people, clinicians, scientists, information technologists, and statisticians and be a proactive listener
Demonstrated strengths in project management, action oriented, able to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines, and process focused while meeting deadlines
Demonstrated strengths in analytical problem solving: analyze complex tasks, develop options, thorough and thought out plans inclusive of alternatives
Demonstrated strengths in data architecture, database management and modeling skills
Leadership skills - high degree of independent judgment, sound character, willingness to support teammates and to maximize their talents and skills, ability to create high performance teams, manage conflict, and inspire others
Highly organized with attention to detail
Capability to management multiple projects
Strong presentation skills over the phone and live to stakeholders and executive decision makers
Capability to produce professional level presentations
Capable of working independently and with multiple team environments
