The Hertz Corporation Operations Leader (Management) - DFW Airport in Dallas, Texas

General Responsibilities

As an Operations Leader for the VSA and IR groups you will oversee and provide cross functional leadership focused on maintaining the quality and availability of vehicles while ensuring proper flow and adherence to the vehicle replenishment model to ensure that we offer the right mix of clean vehicles for our customers.

As the Operations Leader (OL), you will manage the two key areas of VSA and IR working closely with both the Ultimate Choice Lot Manager and Product Quality Manager. Your team will work to ensure vehicles quickly and efficiently flow from IR through VSA to stalling per the Hertz replenishment model. Your primary focus is to lead your team to the highest level of performance by make sure that the right vehicles are properly accounted for, cleaned and stalled ready for our customers to enjoy. The OL champions superior levels of customer vehicle cleanliness and instills a quality mindset in all members of the operations team including outside third party vendors. Additionally, OL takes responsibility and maintains quality control of the site fleet and works with other sites to adjust the fleet as required. The OL will serve as the third level of escalation for customer issue and works to resolve outstanding issues and coach your team how to deliver the highest level of customer service.

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred

Professional Experience:

  • 3+ years of management experience preferred

  • Customer Service, Management, and Sales experience preferred.

  • A background managing a unionized workforce is helpful

  • Experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism a plus.

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma/Toyota Management techniques is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Professionally direct employees including: training, setting expectations, follow up and corrective action .

  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage in verbal interactions with customers.

  • Strong sales skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.

  • Ability to project professional appearance.

  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
