About This Position This position is responsible to be capable of operating any and/or all Conversational Machinery, all CNC Machinery and all Conventional Machinery utilized within the scope of the Machine Shop . What You'll Do: Operate CNC equipment as assigned Proficient operation of one or more machine tools at any given time of all machinery and work to continuously improve throughput of materials with minimal supervision. Make set-ups and programs necessary for proper machining of materials. Work within close tolerances and concentricity to previously machined parts. Determine proper operational sequence, and select tooling feeds and speeds to optimize machining process. Machine quality parts, error-free, to predetermined dimensions and tolerances. Train others in the proper operation of any and/or all machinery within the Machine Shop classifications/groups. Clear chips from inside and outside of machine for placement in chip holders for disposal; Segregate chips and transport to appropriate containment area as directed by supervision. Perform clerical duties as instructed by supervision. Perform preventative maintenance to include oiling and greasing associated with each individual machine and assist maintenance personnel as instructed by supervision. Be able to review and trouble shoot programs What You'll Need: A High School Diploma/GED. A problem-solving mentality and high level of attentiveness. A clean criminal background investigation. A clean urine and hair follicle drug screening, performed upon offer of employment. A strong work ethic. A willingness to learn. A commitment to safety. Vocational school training, related on-the-job experience, or a technical associate's degree preferred.
