This position is for a Machine Operator with a company location in Corinth, MS. Will report to an Operations Team Leader and receives work direction from the Machine Leader. Will be required to be proficient at all Level 1 elements for the assigned base machine. Must be able to train any employee who is not currently proficient on Level 1 elements. Use of Lean problem solving tools such as Quick & Easy and 4SPS is required per Team Leaders direction. Must participate in submitting FORCE ideas and completing quarterly incentive pay challenges. Employee can pursue proficiency in multiple Level 2 Elements and progression to an available SG4 position through the Performance Board.Duties and Responsibilities include: (Safety): Demonstrating safety leadership by knowing and following all safety rules. Ensure team is accountable as well by practicing the Three Safety Obligations; Reviewing accident/incident investigations in a timely manner and reviewing any issue reporting on the crew; Possess a working knowledge of EHS principles; (Quality): Possess working knowledge of quality systems such as SPC, Ppk, K value, specifications; Awareness of and communication of complaints as appropriate; (Productivity / Efficiency): Understand key cost concepts (grade cost, machine hour cost, raw material cost) and cost drivers (uptime, first pass yield, final yield / reclaim, labor cost, maintenance cost, operating supplies, etc.); Perform all Level 1 tasks efficiently and share knowledge of potential improvements to benefit the team; Be present and available for work in assigned areas; (Human Resource Development): Continue self-development; Provide training to new and / or junior crew members; Comply with all mill and corporate policies; (Lean): Utilize Quick & Easy and 4SPS tools to resolve problems; Actively support and engage in zone controls and TPM activities.Requirements and Qualifications include: Must be 18 years old; High School Diploma or GED; 2 years of continuous work experience; Basic computer knowledge and good math skills; Must be able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime; Be able to pass a pre-employment assessment.
