Load Levelers: Safely perform quality checks on finished corrugated sheets and immediately communicate on any quality issues so adjustments can be made. Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities: Follow all company safety guidelines. Ability to read production sheets Quickly identify a quality defect and communicate immediately to machine operators. Quality checks using micrometer, tape measure, etc. Able to read a tape measure up to 1/16" variance All units have an accurate load tag and the appearance meets plant's requirements Basic Computer Skills (Data Entry) General Housekeeping duties Excellent verbal and written communication skills Be able to clearly verbally call out the defect over radio so machine operators can make adjustments quickly. Ability to add, subtract, & multiply Able to work extended work hours and weekends, as needed Self-motivated Able to work in varying temperatures Professional Attitude & conduct Performs other job duties as assignedEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalent education and experience. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Following directions under limited supervision; Ability to learn production and operational principles and practices; Performing basic mathematical calculations; Lifting and loading materials; Complying with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures; Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing environment and will be subject to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, and loud noises. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
