Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Operational Risk Oversight (ORO) is responsible for defining the Operational Risk strategy for CCB to achieve the target-state Operational Risk framework and driving consistency and collaboration across CCB line of business ORO teams. In this capacity, the CCB ORO team engages in the maintenance, monitoring, updating, implementation and application of the Operational Risk Management strategy and framework across CCB, while interacting directly with key functional areas and Corporate Operational Risk.

CCB Operational Risk Oversight is looking to hire an individual who will act as the Operational Risk Framework Lead primarily responsible for executing an effective and comprehensive independent challenge of the Risk Identification process (i.e., existing/emerging risks within CCB sub-LOBs and functions). In addition, the VP role will have leadership responsibilities for Scenario Analysis, quarterly assessment of Operational Risk Appetite and executive reporting/communications. This role is highly visible to senior management and offers the opportunity to work across JPMorgan Chase & Co. The role will require knowledge of Operational Risk and key risk management skills along with an ability to build strong relationships throughout.

Responsibilities :

  • Build consultative relationships with senior management across lines of business to drive strategic decisions by preparing and delivering well designed presentations with concise recommendations

  • Create materials to be used for presentation at working group and senior management meetings, providing sufficient information to enable sign off on a deliverable

  • Partner with cross-line of business teams to guide project teams and ensure all business deliverables and tasks are completed

  • Present recommendations in a business-friendly way that identifies issues, details impact and strategies for resolution

  • Additional projects as necessary

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

  • 5+ years experience financial industry experience

  • 2+ years in Operational Risk Management or similar discipline of risk identification and management

  • Strong decision making, analytical, problem-solving and creative thinking skills; ability to analyze a set of data and identify trends that can help drive business change and efficiency and/or an improved Control environment

  • Previous data management/reporting experience and ability to define/measure issues and trends

  • Ability to collaborate with business and functional experts to successfully execute complex programs spanning multiple business lines; ability to influence, negotiate and lead change

  • High level of professionalism and ability to work autonomously

  • Teamwork and communication (written and verbal) skills required

  • Strong organizational, project management and a demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver results

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
