JPMorgan Chase CCB Risk - Mortgage Banking - Operations Strategy & Administration - Quality Assurance - Associate in Columbus, Ohio

The Associate Quality Assurance analyst will primarily be responsible for three core functions:

  1. Internal Quality Review – sampling and quality control loan level testing, analyzing, researching of Originations Quality Assurance and Testing (OQAT)

  2. Coverage Analysis – mapping all investor requirements to current quality assurance testing procedures and ensure all components are met and appropriately documented using Chase preferred methodology

  3. Collateral Review Team support

Position requires a strong data and analytical skill set and must execute the following objectives:

  • Perform quality control reviews of OQAT test work

  • Assist as necessary with maintenance of testing procedures to ensure most recent version is up to date with policies and procedures

  • Ability to understand and comprehend origination policies, processes and technologies to effectively identify testing population/sample requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate autonomously and concisely with business partners

  • Leverage Chase Legal and Compliance to ensure quality testing requirements are met

  • Document coverage analysis using Chase preferred methods, i.e. Change Manager, as required

  • Ensure RCSA is properly completed and install tracking, reporting and communications as required

  • Assist as necessary with maintenance of reporting to effectively communicate results and strength of controls

  • Ability to quickly learn Servicing and Default related policies and processes to effectively test

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in mortgage originations; preference specific to underwriting experience

  • Must possess high degree of independent decision making and self-sufficiency

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency by responding immediately to escalated issues and rapidly changing priorities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience required

  • Demonstrate proficiency in accessing multiple systems, platforms and applications

  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills to be used in evaluation and interpretation of data

  • Ability to follow complex methods and procedures in diverse routine and non-routine tasks

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

  • Experience with business applications supporting Chase and WaMu/EMC portfolios strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, presentation, project management and leadership skills required

  • Teamwork and collaboration expertise

  • Strong priority management and multi-tasking skills required

  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment to effectively meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional manner
