GNP Company Ground Chicken/Meat Separator Operator in Cold Spring, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY: The Ground Chicken/Meat Separator Operator will be responsible for preparing raw materials for the loafing and chubbing process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned . Responsible for setting up processing equipment based on finished product needs. . Verifies the schedule for processing sequence. . Determines ingredient needs based on raw materials available. . Monitors delivery system for processing aid. . Monitors CO2 system to achieve temperature compliance. . Monitors Meat Separator for proper operation. . Verify systems and finished products for HACCP compliance. . Responsible for packaging product based on finished product needs. . Helps maintain production equipment when needed. . Understands all product and equipment specifications. . Responsible for spraying down equipment as necessary between products. . Responsible for breakdown of equipment at the end of the shift. . Assists with completing necessary documentation as required. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations Ability to pass a Prove It test Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to follow oral directions Ability to follow processing directions Working knowledge of department operations. Ability to obtain a valid pallet-jack license Ability to obtain HACCP Certification through Quality Services. Ability to endure prolonged standing Ability to preform basic computer skills Ability to sustain lifting of 30-50 pounds Ability to push tanks on wheels up to 120 pounds without assistance To perform this job successfully, applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
