Communicate with Scheduling to plan daily Solution Filling and Mixing requirements to minimize process changes.
Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures and Specifications to mix exact formulations.
Order raw materials for schedule requirements.
Communicate with Filling and Sterilization supervision to ensure uninterrupted process flow.
Perform chemical initial and in-process analysis per specification using good laboratory technique.
Perform weighing applications using computers.
Oversee the activities of Mixing Operators.
Must have knowledge of both plant and departmental environmental health and safety regulations and comply with said regulations accordingly.
Must perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical education such as Chemistry preferred.
Experience in FDA regulated manufacturing preferred.
Ability to operate computer applications.
Ability to use laboratory apparatus to perform chemical testing.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
Ability to lift material weighing 50 pounds.
Ability to handle and maneuver 55 gallon drums weighing up to 500 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity Procedure CL-01-01-037.
Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to bend/stoop.
Ability to reach above the shoulder.
Ability to meet confined space entry requirements.
Ability to pass pulmonary function and respiratory fit test.
Cannot have facial hair around the respiratory seal area.
