Division Leader - Research Operations
Managerial responsibilities include the oversight of the day to day processes within a key unit that handles brokerage documentation requests, returned mail, subpoena requests, manages escalations, and uses independent thinking to consider exception processing.
Focus is on the team’s long term goals, effective business management, and continuous associate and team level development. Associate development consists of evaluating performance, motivational or educational coaching or counseling, interviewing and hiring.
The manager would establish and control the unit’s operating budget, forecast needed adjustments to existing processes or to staff, and analyze and recommend procedures to enhance or economize departmental operational effectiveness.
Candidate needs the ability to conduct relevant systems training, hold team meetings to review existing processes, and to become knowledgeable about the specialized systems applications relevant to the team.
The candidate would need to be able to participate in unit audits, and work with auditors to answer questions about the process.

The need to ensure that control procedures and quality assurance measures are followed and are adequate to assuage financial or compliance risks.
Must be an adept communicator, team motivator, and possess ability to work with multiple levels of associates and management, confer with other operational units, and address escalations promptly and accurately by acting in the capacity of an authorized manager.
Associate, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
3-5 years related operations and/or management experience preferred
Independent thinker, able to confer will all levels of management
Team motivator, ability to coach and develop associates
Manage all aspects of unit performance, maintain service levels, and manage risk
Knowledge of the securities industry a plus
FINRA License Series 7 license is a plus
