Supervises the activities of offenders in the preparation and serving of meals for staff and offenders. Trains offenders in sanitation and all kitchen policies and procedures. Maintains standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality in a cost efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a food service environment. Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to monitor and supervise the work of others.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer experience working in a large volume food preparation environment. Prefer previous experience working in a supervisory role. Prefer Serv-Safe Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Prefer working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, cost controls and operating and repairing food service equipment. Prefer basic knowledge of Microsoft office.
