The AFS Controllership organization includes accounts receivable, account payable, accounting and reporting, expense compliance, payroll and internal controls functions. The Controllership Initiatives & Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting a wide range of initiatives and operations within the Controllership organization.
Some specific activities aligned to this role are expected to include the following:
Assist with the tracking, reporting, communication, and resolution of Time & Expense non-compliance.
Support suspense management activities, working with employees across the business and at all career levels.
Support Special Processing timesheet adjustments and peer review activities.
Support various month-end close activities.
Assist in implementing new accounting procedures, documenting processes, and create training manuals.
Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, or other Business major preferred) - applicable to candidates with less than 4 years of full time experience only
Knowledge of business, finance, and accounting fundamentals
3.2 GPA or higher - applicable to candidates with less than 4 years of full time experience only
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and time manage
Willingness to learn new skills and embrace changes in business operations
Good interpersonal skills
Deltek/ Costpoint experience
Government contracting experience
Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
