Lending Operations Specialist II Collateral Management Regulatory Reporting M&T Center - Buffalo, New York


Creates and maintains regulatory reporting to support affiliated securities reporting and liquidity coverage reporting processes and procedures. Participates in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and recommends action regarding specialized functions.


Creates and maintains reporting for affiliated investments, including estimation of brokerage accounts.

Responsible for verifying investment data for Liquidity Coverage Ratio reporting.

Researches and resolves complex customer issues including out of margin scenarios.

Participates in project and process improvement initiatives.

Interprets legal and bank documents for internal processing through analysis of circumstances and documents; recommends action steps to management.

Responsible for multiple system, business and product lines.

Recommends action regarding specialized functions based upon Bank or Investor guidelines.

Understands and adheres to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.

Identifies risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promotes an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintains M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Completes special projects as assigned by management.

Completes other related duties as assigned.


The incumbent works under minimal supervision.

The position has internal interaction within the Center of Expertise (COE) or other Bank departments/external attorneys, customers, automobile and recreational finance dealers and vendors/outside agencies.


High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years’ proven bank, financial services and/or relevant professional office operations experience.

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent spreadsheet and word processing software.

Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.

Proven interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

Proven decision-making and organizational skills.

Flexibility to support multiple business lines.

Familiar with business terms.

Good customer service skills with ability to use tact and diplomacy with internal and external contacts.

Capable of interpreting legal, investor and policy guidelines.


Associates’ degree.

Paralegal experience.

Proficiency with pertinent database software.
