A Plant Operator works rotating 7 day on 7 day off shifts to assist with the manufacture of specialized flow improving products utilized in crude and refined products pipelines. The Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the Process equipment. Reports to the Operations Manager.
A Shipping & Receiving Operator works rotating 7 day on 7 day off shifts to assist with the material handling of specialized flow improving products utilized in crude and refined products pipelines. The Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the tanks and piping associated with the shipment of finished products and the receipt of raw materials. All operators are trained according to our internal Training and Development Programs.
Opportunities are present to work in the manufacturing plant as well as in the Shipping & Receiving department.
This is an entry level position - Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Promotional opportunities available when step progression requirements are met.
Responsibilities may include:
Operate the Production Processes following authorized Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Standard Operating Conditions (SOC).
Emphasize Safety on a continuous basis.
Drive continuous improvement in their specific process area, optimizing equipment efficiency, reliability, total capacity and quality levels in unison with other area teams.
Maintain and optimize all procedures and work instructions related to each process area.
Record documentation for tracking all aspects of production using Microsoft Excel and other internal database systems.
Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure quality. Document and coordinate with maintenance specialists when needed.
Proactively communicate regarding the need for spare parts and preventative maintenance
Assist in troubleshooting non-conformance products through the use of the Trouble Reports System, teamwork and collaboration to correct the situation.
Work with the Manager, Operations to identify training needs and participate in the training to improve individual progression and overall plant performance.
Shipping & Receiving Operator:
Primary responsibility will be to transfer finished product from bulk storage tanks to tanker trailers using a truck rack facility.
Receive and transfer raw materials from tanker trailers into raw material storage tanks.
Move trailers within the storage yard utilizing the company yard mule.
Process shipping documentation utilizing SAP transactions.
Maintain housekeeping standards of the loading and unloading work areas.
Operate the equipment in the Shipping & Receiving area following authorized Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Standard Operating Conditions (SOC).
Emphasize safety on a continuous basis.
Drive continuous improvement, handle all materials responsibly without spills.
Maintain and optimize all procedures and work instructions related to the shipping and receiving area.

Work with the Shipping & Receiving Manager to identify training needs and participate in the training to improve individual progression and overall plant performance.
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be at least 18
Valid driver's license
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Able, with or without a reasonable accommodation to perform the following:
Willing and able to work rotating 12-hour shifts
Willing and able to lift and carry loads of 50 lb
Willing and able to work primarialy outside, regardless of temperature and/or weather conditions
Willing and able to climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment
Willing and able to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Associate's degree or Technical certification from an accredited school
1 or more years of experience working in a Shipping & Receiving capacity.
Previous experience operating a yard mule
Previous experience operating valves, gauging tanks, performing maintenance on equipment
Willingness to perform/comply with the following:
Comply with all safety procedures and willing to maintain proper and safe process operations of the operating equipment
To read technical procedures and materials in English
To learn computer software associated with process operations
