Position Responsibilities\Requirements:

JOB Description

  • Manages program financials for large / complex projects (revenue, expense, billing)

  • Coordinates the intercompany expense process for the Consulting Services departments.

  • Responsible for the business unit’s monthly conversion capitalization forecasting process.

  • Assists with the gathering, analysis, and preparation of reporting prepared by the IBS Operations team.

  • Meet with organizational unit/department managers to discuss and gather input needed to prepare and complete reporting.

  • Oversees the preparation of daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial / operational reports. Includes the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, analysis and interpretation of trends requiring management’s attention, the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations

  • Coordinate and monitor the IBS Division budget and business plan.

  • Responsible for Revenue & Expense forecasting process - Provide revenue and expense analyses and determine areas for improvement.

  • Waived, discounted, amortized revenue tracking and analysis

  • Profitability reporting (direct/indirect) ---Streamline profitability reporting and focus on areas of importance. Identify and implement ways to increase Division/Company profitability.

  • IBS Engagement profitability reporting and review

  • Assists IBS Practice Managers to ensure financial goals and objectives are achieved within their area of responsibility. Provides them with the necessary information to understand the health of the business and their specific practice areas.

  • Engagement pricing and pro-forma development.

  • Works with Finance counterparts to complete forecasting, revenue recognition activities.

  • Responsibilities include identifying, researching and documenting variances of forecast to final reporting.

  • Prepares reports for management summarizing results of research, analyses and evaluation of any discrepancies.

  • Completes quarterly rate review of funded work completed by the Business unit.

  • Assists with the Billing validation and audit activities.

  • Performs other related duties assigned and as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or 5-7 year’s industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Financial Analysis.

  • Thorough knowledge of consulting industry, and financial/accounting practices and procedures.

  • Strong leadership, analytical and technical skills.

  • Strong prioritization and organization skills. Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.

  • Solid oral/written communication abilities to concisely communicate key issues/results in a manner appropriate to the audience, including the executive level.

  • Proven ability to interact well with all levels of the organization, including executive management.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • General understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures and standards.

  • Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools

  • Analytical and statistical examination skills

  • Ability to understand and apply learned concepts

  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met

  • Ability to create spreadsheets and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.

  • Requires human relations, negotiation and documentation skills
