Wealth Management Operations Summary

Wealth Management Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Asset Management line of business. The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals. Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. Wealth Management Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with client service, fiduciary, product specialty groups, third party vendors and other internal groups.

Operations Control & Governance Team

The role will sit in the Operations Control & Governance User Tool, Vendor Management and PMO team. This team sits within the business and acts as an independent body to test the controls of the organization, highlight the health of the organization and provide detective and preventative tools for the business to use to mitigate risk.

The role will primarity be focused on Client Experience and include creating visibility and partner with internal clients to improve the client experience withing WM Operations. Includes continuous refinement of the overall reporting process, to assist with initiatvies to help WM Operations’ to mitigate risks, improve efficiency, identify control gaps and areas of opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a matrixed environment to facilitate and perform end-to-end reviews and deep dives across global operational processes

  • Effectively communicate progress towards milestones / deliverables to key stakeholders

  • Analyze data / reports and partner with Operations managers to develop recommended courses of action to decrease issues while increasing controls and improving the client experience

  • Communicate results through executive-level presentations and facilitate discussions with senior leaders

  • Manage initiatives that require oversight and governance

  • Set aggressive timelines and create detailed execution plans

  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills and ability to work with people at all levels, including dispute resolution

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience

  • Ability to think globally and articulate impacts of changes / recommendations

  • Experienced and proven ability to gather/analyze complex data, develop accurate conclusions and provide recommendations with sufficient comprehension of the business to understand risk implications

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and project management skills

  • Effective in a team setting but is also a self-starter and can work with minimal oversight

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint)

  • Excellent time and project management skills

  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative and help drive projects to successful completion

  • Individual must be results driven, have attention to detail, and skilled at diplomatically breaking down barriers and obstacles

  • Can quickly adapt to work flow variation and change

  • Ops 99 or equivalent (if none, will need to address this requirement within 120 days of starting the role)


  • Experience in Project Management or other roles with coordination responsibilities across a diverse set of stakeholders

  • Proven track record of effective project planning, execution, and delivering stakeholder communications

  • Awareness of Risk Management principles

  • Capable of direct interface with Senior Management / Senior Leadership

  • Experienced with managing coordination across organizations and across levels

  • Operations & Client Experience knowledge a plus


  • A.S . / B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience; Masters Degree is preferred

  • Operations Manager Series 99 Certification required or can be obtained within 120 days
