Sanofi Group Head -Systems Global Medical Information Operations in Bridgewater, New Jersey

The Head of Systems is responsible for the development and implementation of global strategies, procedures and tools/systems in support of global medical information activities. The position will lead the system development and maintenance for the end to end process from developing content to responding to unsolicited requests for information on Sanofi products from Healthcare Professionals, Consumers and internal associates.

The position will collaborate across countries and functional groups. The position will ensure compliance of all activities linked to systems, including development quality documents. This position will report to the Head of Global MI Operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Lead development and implementation of global state-of-the- art MI systems in close collaboration with ITS, vendors and other stakeholders.

•Provide technical and medical info expertise to ensure that global business requirements are taken into account for project related activities.

•Serve as primary interface between the technical functions and the user community for system development activities.

•Ensure close collaboration with ITS and procurement in regards to vendor selection and management

•Lead global team activities to define business requirements for systems development and implementation

•Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders inside and outside of GMI to ensure that business requirements are met and integration with other systems is implemented

•Ensure compliance of systems with internal and external requirements

•Ensure optimal migration of content from legacy systems into new system(s)

•Ensure timely decommissioning of legacy systems

•Ensure appropriate training of internal and external users of systems

•Ensure optimal administration of systems

•Monitor emerging technologies; make strategic recommendations and decisions to implement industry best practices.

WORK LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISION

You will be responsible for leading 1-3 direct reports.

Educational Requirements:

Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MS) in a health care related field.

Minimum of 15 years’ of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Proven track record with development and deployment of global, cross-functional systems. Proven track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners.

•Strong technical skills and expertise with system development and implementation; Knowledge of system validation and methodology. Solid knowledge in and experience with databases design and technologies (data modeling, data visualization, …)

•Demonstrated analytical aptitude to identify opportunities for change, identify alternative best practice solutions and anticipate future problems and opportunities.

•Demonstrated problem identification and problem resolution skills used to effectively determine and implement alternative solutions and bring issues to a positive resolution.

•Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely express ideas and concepts verbally and in writing. Ability to prepare detailed statistical reports of department activities. Strong presentation skills.

•Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Ability to identify and resolve issues and problems using effective approaches for choosing course of action add developing appropriate solutions

•Strong project management skills, including priority setting, planning and conflict management

•Ability to build working relationships in order to work cross functionally within and outside of Sanofi. Uses appropriate interpersonal skills to build network in order to gain cooperation with colleagues.
