CoreLogic's Science & Analytics division is seeking a Geospatial Visualization Specialist to create eye-catching maps and geospatial infographics for CoreLogic media outreach, high-level presentations, and marketing collateral. This position collaborates with our science, modeling, and marketing teams to develop visualizations that provide unique insights illustrating the value of our solutions.The job responsibilities require scientific, technological, and artistic skills that extend beyond the basics of cartographic finishing methods and into more advanced techniques of data science and analysis.

Work with our scientists, data modelers and our clients to conceptualize and design maps that provide clear, data-driven insights leveraging CoreLogic data and analytics. Generate beautiful digital and printed maps and infographics for inclusion in presentations, media outreach, blogs, and other marketing materials. Develop consistent mapping symboligies and best practices for spatial data visualization across the organization. Design and document scripts to support map tile creation and data visualization. Author informative web services, animations, and other graphics for interactive online maps. Participate in production-related activities as needed.
Posting Job Requirements
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Cartography, or a related field with specialization in GIS.
6+ years of GIS and/or cartography-related work experience.
Must have work experience with digital cartography, performing spatial analysis, and visualizing results.
Experience working with a variety of spatial datasets including parcels, natural hazards, land cover and vegetation, buildings, elevation, and imagery.
Must be proficient in a number of computer applications, but must specifically possess GIS software skills; work experience with ESRI products (e.g. ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise), MS Office, and Adobe products is required.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g. .NET, Python, VB) and business intelligence visualization tools (e.g. Qlik, ArcInsights, Tableau) is preferred.
Experience producing ESRI Story Maps and 3D geographic animations is preferred.
Proficient in geospatial database technologies and query languages (e.g., SQL) including ability to write/execute SQL queries; experience with large data sets.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with an eye for aesthetic design.
Solid organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop strong working relationships within teams and across the organization.
Experience in data science, machine learning techniques, and statistics is a plus.
